The second book contains numerous woodcut illustrations demonstrating various swimming techniques accompanied by descriptive text. Each illustration is printed from two different blocks: one for the outside border and one for the swimmer in the middle of the image. By using different combinations of the two, a great number of illustrated scenes are generated from a limited number of wood blocks
